Overlooking the plain during daytime perched in the cliff, the placid eagle owl Uhu launches his cavernous call at dawn according to a never changing ritual before he sets of to hunt during the night. Unfortunately these imposing birds suffer high losses due to the cabling and wiring of the landscape as well as through the traffic.

This mixed media art illustration is from my HelvEdition series, inspired by Swiss flora and fauna.
